SO just check the tram timing for better reach to any where. Our Stay was one tram stop after the aiguille du midi so we have a super view from our balcony and most of the AirBnB owner gives you free passes for tram. There is a Thai food counter near by aiguille du midi stop the food is nice you can take away. 2-3 hours is nice to be there have some coffee and came back to walk around the beautiful town. But once everything is sattled the view will just awstruck you. There is a Indian restaurent Annapurna they serve nice food speally that malai paratha but yes ccostly indeed.įor everyone while going to Aiguille du midi the gondola will take u up on top within 20mins so be seated for 10-15 minutes to acclamatised or else you might find breating trouble. Obviously we have choosed AirBNB as we cooked our Indian food form Breakfast and Dinner. Here we go.We stayed in CHmonix for two 3 days as one day we went to top Aiguella De Middi (60euros p.p) another days we went to MardeGlass Glacier which was around 1hour journey with nice view. The date I have mentioned here it should be August,2020 (unfortunately I did not time to write up). I definitely recommend this, including Pointe Helbronner, but I appreciate it is not cheap, and a stop at Aiguille du Midi should be more than enough for most people. The whole trip was fun and while the price was at the higher end of what we would normally choose to spend, it was pretty much paid for, which made it very easy to enjoy without worrying about the cost.Īfter we got back down, I wanted to buy a t-shirt from the shop at the base, but they were out of my size. In total, it took about 2 hours to get back from Point Helbronner to the parking lot in Chamonix. We had a quick stop at that point, and then lined up for the gondola down. We headed back and by the time we got back to Aiguille du Midi, the clouds had rolled in and visibility was almost zero. We arrived at Pointe Helbronner at 2:45, then had lunch, and stayed until about 4pm. We enjoyed a lovely lunch, although they were out of many items on the menu, which didn’t leave us a lot to choose from. Once at Pointe Helbronner, we headed up the stairs to the Bistro, and both suddenly experienced the dizzying effects of the altitude. We quickly got on the cable car for Pointe Helbronner, which had even more amazing views. The views were spectacular (and we’re from Canada, so that’s saying something!). We arrived at the top and stopped for about 10 minutes to take some photos before heading to the peak-to-peak cable car. While the price was a bit steep (103 Euros each, including the gondola from Chamonix), we had been gifted some money before our trip for a “memorable outing” and this fit the bill perfectly. While we were waiting in line to buy tickets, we noticed the option to buy tickets that included the “peak to peak” cable car to Pointe Helbronner on the Italian side of the mountain. On August 12, we took the gondola up to Aiguille du Midi, the highest point accessible by gondola.
